Project Overview
In the role of a freelance product designer, I helped creating Ampuguide, an innovative mobile application designed to serve as a comprehensive navigator for individuals who have undergone amputation. My contribution spanned from conceptualization to the final user interface design and demo prototypes for testing.
Challenge
The primary goal was to develop an intuitive platform that would consolidate essential resources and services for amputees, facilitating their journey through rehabilitation and beyond. Ampuguide aspired to be a central hub for amputation information, connecting users with a myriad of support systems. One of the significant challenges was to present a wealth of information in a digestible format. To overcome this, I implemented a simple layout with interactive elements, allowing users to navigate through the information at their own pace. I crafted a clean and accessible interface that simplifies complex medical information and processes. The design is built around the needs of amputees, ensuring that every feature enhances their experience, supports their recovery, and promotes independence.

The first part of the app is a taxfix-like questionaire that quickly finds out about the specific situation of the patient without overwhelming them.
After that, Ampuguide provides a clean journey that guides patients through the maze of doctor appointments, documents, nursing visits and also loneliness. It is nudging them to do the first step to get their old life back by showing socializing events for amputees which has shown helpful for all amputees we talked to.
